Our Programs
Book gifting program that mails free high-quality books to children from birth until they begin school regardless of their family’s income. You can register your child to receive these free books at birth and we will do the rest. Each month the Imagination Library will send your child a new age-appropriate book. If you sign your child up at birth, they will be able to receive 60 free books by their 5th birthday! This is a free program for children enrolled in Bedford County and the very first book your child will receive is the Little Engine That Could.
A non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping children in Bedford County who were victims of crime or unfortunate circumstances that involved our local law enforcement throughout the year. Each child that is chosen to participate in this event will be paired with a law enforcement officer that will spend quality time with the child and assist them in purchasing Christmas gifts. This program also helps promote a lasting and trusting relationship between children and local law enforcement.
An organization whose mission is to empower others to empower themselves by utilizing community resources and networking opportunities in Bedford County, PA. Women United was created by an amazing group of women who are passionate about assisting individuals and/or families in our community to overcome any challenges they are facing. Many of our neighbors and community members live below the poverty level, nearly 14%! They do not have the financial resources and support to help them, and their families succeed. The Women United program helps those who do not have the financial resources to purchase the necessities they need for work, such as non-slip shoes, socks, pants, and more.
