IV. PA 211 Update
A quarterly operations report is provided with the board meeting materials. Joanne Troutman, Vice
Chair of the PA 211 board, will provide an update to the UWP board to include an update on SDoH
partnerships, a new partnership with Harrisburg University to approximate the race and ethnicity of
211 users, PA 211 funding advocacy and the launch of chat on the statewide web site.
V. Resilient PA Partnerships
United Way of Pennsylvania is entering into a partnership with Collectively Rooted, a company that
organizes and develops courses that provide diverse programming, facilitates connection, fosters
outreach and cultivates generosity, kindness and inclusivity, is making a donation of a series of
trauma-informed trainings for all communities across PA. UWP will be responsible for housing the
training on the Resilient PA web site and for helping to get the word out. Angela Lin will join
this discussion to help give an overview of the partnership and answer questions.
VI. Benefit Cliff Calculator Partnership with Deloitte
Deloitte is providing pro bono consulting to United Way of Pennsylvania for the purpose of
developing an excel-based tool that case managers can use to help individuals and families served
by public benefit programs understand benefit eligibility. The initial pilot will be focused on
Lancaster County, and includes an evaluation to determine whether the tool should be deployed in
other counties. The goals of the project are to help build financially resilient families and
demystify benefit eligibility criteria and reduce the fear of losing public benefits, thereby
empowering benefit recipients to work. Brian Prendergrast of Deloitte will join to help provide
more background.
