Ashley Leary
Ashley joined United Way of Pennsylvania in June 2024. She brings more than 10 years of experience in resource development, marketing, and communications, with a strong background in community engagement and mission-focused storytelling. Prior to joining UWP, Ashley served as Director of Communications and Public Support for the York County Bar Association and Bar Foundation. She also held roles with the American Cancer Society, where she developed deep experience in community relations and advancing mission-driven initiatives.
Ashley is deeply passionate about community service, both professionally and through volunteerism. She currently serves on United Way of York County’s Emerging Leader Society, has participated as a VITA greeter and screener, and volunteers regularly at Lancaster Cemetery to restore veteran stones, place flags, and honor veteran service. In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time outside with her husband, Tom, and their dog, Salem, as well as painting and embracing everything about the fall season.
Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management from Penn State University and her Master of Arts in Strategic Leadership and Management from York College of Pennsylvania.
