Yesterday, United Way of Pennsylvania and Greater Lehigh Valley United Way testified before the Pennsylvania House Children and Youth Committee on trauma-informed care and adverse childhood experiences (ACES). The informational hearing reiterated that trauma-informed policies and regulations should be implemented to ensure that every child has a safe, stable, and nurturing environment. It is also essential to invest in early childhood education and trauma-informed programs that support our kids.
